Prepare for an amazing weekend, inviting your friends or family for a barbeque party. With a portable gas barbeque, you can amuse yourself and others with your cooking skills, dilute pressures from your work and enjoy some great time together. Why gas barbeque? Because it lets you enjoy the smoked meat, without actually experiencing the smoke. It also doesn’t require you to undertake massive cleaning process, as there will be little ash to clear.

Gas barbeque ensures solid performance for cooking processes that last for 8-18 hours. Always make sure you have a backup gas tank, in case you run out of gas. There is nothing more frustrating than running out of gas while preparing that cherished steak, burger, hams or turkey.

Gas barbeque prepares the grill quickly for cooking. You have to wait for just 10 minutes after igniting the gas barbeque to reach the cooking temperature. Gas barbeque also lets you control the amount of heat. Turn to low heat for slow cook items (roasts) and high heat for fast cook items (like steak).

Stainless steel gas barbeque ensures cleaner cooking. You also have little trouble cleaning the grill after cooking.

For those people who like to get the taste of added wood smoke can opt to use the smoker box. Heat passes through these woodchips, burning it and extracting smoke, which reaches the meat and gives the characteristic barbeque taste.

Gas barbeque grill comes with a cooking chamber, which allows evaporations to settle back on to the meat, giving it the unique barbeque taste.

Cleaning gas barbeque grill is an easier and essential task. Clean barbeque grill is safer – both charcoal and gas grills. Essential maintenance of gas barbeque grill also involves checking for leaks in the gas supply hose. Also, make sure there are no obstructions in the hose and burners for the fuel. Obstructions in the gas supply route can cause imperfect burning.

Clean the grill after each cookout, with appropriate cleaning materials. It can prevent blocks and ensure better cooking experience each time.

Gas barbeque prices can vary from GBP 100 to GBP 3000, depending on the features available. Decent gas barbeque grills are available for around GBP 350-500. Premium barbeque grills are not necessary in most cases, if you are not looking for the fancy features.

If you use propane, make sure you keep the tank in a ventilated area. This gas is heavier than air. If an instance of leakage occurs, the gas gets concentrated, which is potentially hazardous.

Make sure you pick a good gas barbeque to enjoy a great evening and a great outdoor party that you enjoy with the people you love and care. Treat them with the most special food and make them beg you to conduct parties every weekend…

Rubs are considered as the heart and soul of barbeque recipes. It is a unique combination of seasonings, spices and herbs. It offers an excellent texture and flavor to meat and transforms an ordinary piece of meat into a heavenly delicious work of art. You can try following barbeque dry recipes and prepare mouth-watering food recipes.

Recipe #1

Ingredients
1 Tbsp coriander seed
2 Tbsp sweet paprika
1 Tsp dried oregano
Tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp black peppercorns
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp dry mustard
1 Tsp cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tsp brown mustard seeds
1 Tsp dried thyme
Tsp onion powder
Tsp whole cloves

Preparation
In a small skillet, heat coriander seeds, mustard seeds, peppercorns and cloves over medium heat. Keep the pan swirling gently, until all the ingredients become fragrant. Then, remove the pan from heat and let the ingredients cool. When cool, grind all the ingredients to a powder in a mortar or spice mill. Pour this mixture in a small bowl. Then, add all the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Store this mixture in an airtight container. You can use this mixture to rub on meats or ribs. It should be rubbed for at least 15 minutes prior to cooking.

Recipe #2

Ingredients
Cup paprika
1 Tbsp black pepper
Cup brown sugar
1 Tsp chili powder
2 Tsp onion powder
2 Tsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp kosher salt
2 Tsp celery seed
A pinch of oregano

Preparation
In a small mixing bowl, combine together all the ingredients. Stir them thoroughly to mix well. Using your fingers, break up the chunks of brown sugar, if any. Mix evenly to get a smooth rub.

Recipe #3

Ingredients
4 Tbsp black pepper, freshly ground
4 Tbsp thyme
2 Tbsp curry powder
4 Tbsp cumin
2 Tbsp cayenne pepper
4 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp MSG or other flavor enhancer (optional)

Preparation
In a small mixing bowl, combine together all the ingredients. Stir well to mix. You can immediately use this rub or store in a dark, cool place for several months. This rub is quite strong and hence, not recommended for thin cuts such as ribs.

Recipe #4

Ingredients
2 Tbsp chili powder
2 Tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tsp dry mustard
Tsp ground red pepper
1 Tsp ground cumin
2 Tsp salt

Preparation
Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix well. Transfer this mixture to an airtight container. You can keep this container in a cool, dark place for up to 2 weeks. As this rub contains sugar, it is better to use on meats that cook over low heat for extended times, such as ribs, brisket, or leg of lamb. If used for recipes to be cooked on high heat, sugar in this rub may burn.

Try any of these recipes and enjoy a weekend barbeque party with your family members and friends.

When purchasing your barbeque grill, think of it as an investment rather then just another item for your outdoor entertainment.

You should expect this item to become a large part of your outdoor activities for many years to come. But like any other investments, proper maintenance and care is needed to ensure that your barbeque grill will work for you for many years to come.

Leaving you grill messy after each use will not only make it harder on you when you finally do clean the grill, but it will also drastically decrease the lifespan of your grill. If you grill sits dirty, you increase the risk of rust.

While some maintenance and cleaning is specific to the type of barbeque grill your own (gas, electric, charcoal or smoke barbecue grill), the majority of maintenance that should be carried on does not change from grill to grill.

Step 1- Gathering The Necessary Items

You will need some common household items on hand when it comes time to clean your barbeque grill.

Brass wire grill brush Steel wool pads, preferably that contains soap already. Mild dish soap Sponge or dishcloth Spray cooking oil Dry baking soda Aluminum foil

Step 2- Brushing Your Grill Off

The first thing that should always be done to your grill is a routine brushing. Using your brass wire grill brush (or other brush suitable to your type of grill) you should brush off all the surfaces. By routinely brushing your barbeque grill, you will prevent any type of buildup. If buildup from food is left to long, it can become increasingly difficult to remove, and can end up causing problems such as rust.

Step 3- Spray Cooking Oil

Once you are sure that your grill is free of all buildup and debris, and that your grill is completely cooled off, you will want to spray it down with a light layer of cooking oil. Spraying it down with cooking oil will prevent your barbeque grill from rusting. It is especially important to make sure you barbeque grill is completely cold, as spraying cooking oil on a hot surface may cause the oil to heat up and ignite, which could be potentially dangerous to you and your barbeque grill.

Step 4- Use Baking Soda and Aluminum Foil on Your Grill

Baking soda is a very nice cleaning and polishing agent. Once you have removed any extra debris and buildup, lightly scrubbing your barbeque grill with baking soda will give it that extra shine, similar to the day that you brought it home from the store. This can also be used on handles and knobs to remove any extra buildup tat cannot be taken off with a wire brush.

Aluminum foil can also be used to keep your grill looking nice. Gently rub the aluminum foil on your grill, and you will notice that it removes grim and buildup. This is a cheap and inexpensive way to clean your grill.

Step 5- Clean Your Racks

The racks in your grill are especially important as this is where the food touches when it is cooking. You will have to use the wire brush to remove as much buildup as possible. Once you remove as much as possible, start washing the racks with dish soap. If the racks are really dirty, you may also want to use the steel wool pads. Be sure to completely rinse off all soap and residue before cooking on these racks again.

As the saying goes ‘Everything is big in Texas’, the Texan BBQ Party is no exception. Texan BBQ Party will be a fun – frolicking experience for you and your guests. So set the stage for the Texan mood at your backyard.

As the saying goes ‘Everything is big in Texas’, the Texan BBQ Party is no exception. You do not have to go to Texas. Stay where you are and we offer you swashing ideas for a Texan BBQ Party.

Texan BBQ Party will be a fun – frolicking experience for you and your guests. To be swept in the mood of Texan style party forgo the fancy flatware and get to the down-home approach. So set the stage for the Texan mood at your backyard.

Start with a dress code of faded blue jeans or head-to-spur fringe to keep the guests in a Texan frame of mind. You may bring out some posers with naughty slogans like – ‘high noon until the cows come home’ or ‘eat barbecue without a napkin’ etc.

Spread a desperado dcor by turning your backyard into tumbleweed-strewn dust bowl with straw on your deck or patio and hay bales for guests to sit. Cast-iron cookware, dinner bell, cowboy boots, saddles, horseshoes, bedrolls, wagon wheels, dried chilli pepper, rope, Texan flag and many more of your innovative ideas to bring the right mood. A county toe-tapping music by Texas born country artists is a must, without which it would be a big bore.

Unfold a red checked or denim tablecloth. For napkins, make some colorful bandanas tied with rope or even sheriff’s star work wonderfully at your Texan BBQ Party. Make ‘guest name cards’ to place on the tables, which makes them feel special. Add decorative centerpiece on clay pots with cactus or hide a pot in an old pair of boots and some fresh flowers in the pots.

A Texan’s mouth waters like the Colorado River for a slab of spareribs or a hunk of corn bread. The food turns attractive with mouth-watering varieties of special hot sauce. For adventurous guests add tortilla chips and funky salt and peppershakers. If possible keep the drinks in old styled washtub filled with ice.

Fun at the BBQ party

Guests may be unknown to each other. Bring in fun and break the ice with a dance lesson. Invite guests on the floor barefoot or with cowboy boots for a line dancing class.

Texas Hold’em is a fast and funny game of 2-10 people. The objective is to finish with the best poker hand and win the pot.

Cattle Corral is steer roping. Position a pint-sized wrangler a few feet away and try catching the cattle.

Squirt-gun-showdown to set a lit candle or an empty soda can and get your guests to shoot a water pistol to either knock out the flame or the can first.

Just because sun sets, it does not mean fun has to end, set up a campfire, which is legendary with Texas cowboys, and invite someone to strum a song on the six string to reach to the climax of Texan BBQ party.

‘Luscious’, ‘yummy’, ‘delicious’, … people just fall short of praises when speaking of Texas style barbecue. In fact, each time I put a tender slice of Texas style barbecue into my mouth, the juicy and flavorful piece of meat convinces me that the Texans where the only ones to perfect the BBQ art. Nonetheless, it is not just the taste factor, the Texas bar-b-qs enjoy equal acceptance as health food.

Like everyone else, if you are wondering what makes the Texas barbecues so special, I will tell you that it is almost everything. If you go on to make a list, the whole lot will feature in it – right from seasoning to cooking and smoking to presentation. Above all, you will require patience! If you falter there, you will spoil the barbecue.

To start with, we will be mentioning the cooking process. Texas style barbecue is not cooked in the standard grilling process. While BBQs in general are cooked over searing heat, the secret to grilling (rather smoking) melting soft and succulent Texan barbecues is to cook them slowly over low temperature and indirect heat. The lower the temperature (say, between 200-250 degree F) of the pit/grill, the lesser will be the moisture-loss and so the piece of meat will not get dry. Moreover, the steady and low heat will thoroughly cure the brisket, causing the collagen as well as connective tissues to break down and add to the tenderness of the meat. In fact, it is this prolonged process of cooking (around 6/7 hours) which renders even unusual and more difficult cuts like a brisket, shoulder or ribs utterly delicious.

Adding to this lusciousness, this deliciousness of the Texan style barbecues is the frequent use of mop sauce. After the meat has been smoke treated, say for the initial 2/3 hours, it is basted with a mop sauce containing bacon, beef broth, lemon, pepper, onions, etc. and turned every 30 minutes for another 3 to 4 hours.

The flavor is the other specialty, the ‘tang’ factor of a Texas style barbecue. Both seasoning and hardwood smoke contribute to the unusual flavor of Texan barbecues. Texans prefer dry rubs containing black pepper, cumin, garlic, red pepper, salt, sugar, etc. in powered form. People even use Marinades. There are lots of good dry rubs and marinades available in the market, which penetrates into the meat-cut when left overnight, tenderizing it and making it flavorsome.

Smoke from the hardwoods such as mesquite, pecan, hickory and fruitwoods give the Texan bar-b-qs a typical sweet flavor. Used with charcoal, they increase the food value of Texan BBQs.

The much talked-about reddish colored smoke-ring that forms around the internal edge of the meat as a result of a chemical reaction between smoke and air (nitrogen) is another specialty of Texan style barbeques; it is usually considered that the bigger the ring, the greater is its penetrating power and consequently stronger favorable effects on health.

This speaks for the taste and health benefits of the Texan style barbecue, but what about its looks! Well, you can give an appetizing look to your Texas style barbecue by slicing each piece across the grain of the meat. Now, when you serve the Texas barbecues, your guests will be eager to enjoy the well-cooked aroma of the steaming barbeque cuts and will gather around the dining table to bite into the savory, succulent Texas BBQ.

Texas BBQ Factory?

Chinese food that isn’t even PRETENDING to be Texas barbeque. Isn’t that weird to anyone? I just don’t understand why people are still paying to eat there when they walked up expecting to find a fully different type of food altogether.

Brined Whole Chicken BBQ Recipe

Ingredients:

1/4 cup pickling spice (1/2 of a 1-1/2-ounce jar)

2 quarts water

1/3 cup salt

1 broiler-fryer chicken, 2-1/2 to 3 pounds

Preparation:

Take a Dutch oven, pour some water in it and then add the pickling spice and salt and boil it.

Then remove it from heat and chill it. You can remove giblets from the chicken pieces that you have, rinse them and squeeze them dry. Then remove the chicken from the marinade and get rid of the extra marinade with the help of paper tissues.

Put the chicken in away that the breast side is up and place it in the center of the cooking grate. Grill the chicken up to one to one hour forty-five minutes until the temperature of the chicken rises up to approximately 180 degree Fahrenheit. So at this point the drumsticks would also move with ease. This is it! Now you can serve the chicken.

Barbecue Chicken Kisses

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons barbecue sauce

1/2 onion, chopped

1/2 green bell pepper, chopped

1 skinless, boneless chicken breast half – cut into bite-size pieces

1 potato, peeled and cubed

Preparation:

The first step would be to heat the grill on a medium high heat and oil the grate lightly. Now take two sheets of aluminum foil so that you can place the chicken breasts, potato, green bell pepper and the onion along with the barbecue sauce in the center of the foil and pack it.

Make as many as these packages as you want and then grill them at a moderately high temperature for approximately 35 minutes or until the temperature of the meat reaches approximately 180 degree Fahrenheit. So the chicken kisses are ready and now you can enjoy these amazingly tasty chicken kisses and this would be the best kiss you have ever had.

Chicken with mustard sauce and green beans

Ingredients:

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 tbsp unsalted butter

cup pouring cream

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp wholegrain mustard

5 skinless chicken breast fillets (about 1000g total)

350g green beans, trimmed

1 tbsp wholegrain mustard

Preparation:

You can heat the oven before you start preparing the chicken so that it is ready by the time you are ready to grill the chicken to approximately 180-200 degree Fahrenheit. In the meantime flavor the chicken with salt and pepper. Mix some butter and oil in pan and heat them. Add the chicken fillets in the pan when the butter is not foaming anymore and fry it for approximately one to three minutes so that each side takes an attractive golden brown color.

Now put the chicken on the roasting tin and roast it for about fifteen minutes till the chicken is cooked thoroughly. Now put the chicken pieces on the plate and cover them to keep it warm.

Now prepare the sauce with the chicken stock. Put it in the frying pan in which you fried the chicken so that the pieces and bits of chicken flow into it.

Boil the stock and add mustard and simmer it for another five minutes. Now add the cream and boil the sauce till it becomes thicker. In the meantime cook some beans in salted water and roast them for about fifteen to twenty minutes and serve them with chicken and mustard sauce.

Barbequing outside is a pleasure that someone can consume in and with so many types of grills open you can practically bake somewhere. One Omission to the list is a physical gas press which wants an undying hook up. Listing below are some of the central advantages / dis-advantages and suggestions for both birth gas and charcoal grills to help finish which one is best for you.

Charcoal Grilling and Benefits. The garden chef’s beloved challenge is to fashion the complete fire for interview to yield that mouthwatering gray judgment! Most standard and with about 80% of all American households owning one, is the barbeque probe. About 47% of these bbq owners are cooking with good old charcoal. With brands such as Weber, obviously the most admired charcoal quiz sold, as well as a household name, one might dismiss other property charcoal grillers.

Nevertheless brands such as Brinkman and Hibachi are required-after as are lesser known charcoal grillers Arctic, Meco, Aussie, Texas Pit Masters, Uniflame, Capital and Thermos, Fire Magic and others.

Charcoal grills can add a beyond smoky feeling to your interview that gas grills can’t! And, these grills are affordable to ensemble any plan. That said, if you buy an imagine one with expensive skin, the price tag will be advanced. However, compared to an outside gas question featuring mechanical parts and a more complicated intention, charcoal grillers are just more economical.

Which charcoal barbeque to buy? Begin with a few austere questions. How many people will you be interview for? Does the bbq must to be an explicit probe letters such as: portable, stainless steel or cast iron? Are you looking for a particular variety: Weber charcoal grills, Brinkman charcoal grills, Hibachi, Arctic, Patio Life, Meco, Aussie or something else

With a charcoal examine, if you are vacant to be cooking for a lot of people or just a few people, dimension matters. A small charcoal examined is 300 to 500 sq. In. Cooking apparent; a method charcoal examine is 500 to 700 sq. In. Cooking apparent; and a large quiz is 700 sq. In. And up. So make loyal you are getting the volume you that fits your requests. If you penury something portable, take a look at the brands Weber and Arctic. You will find these to be lightweight and relaxed to clutch. With an usual gas press you will never have to fear about the grilling tragedy because you’ll never run out of propane while grilling steaks for links. If you’re in the souk shopping for a barbeque that will recommend you great convenience and improve, then actual gas is the way to go. Why?

Unlike charcoal grills, there is no waiting at the coals to passion up. With a physical gas question you just promote the badge, trip the dial and kindle! And, since these barbeques are together to the gas equip piping of the home, they are always eager for cooking. How to desire the accepted gas question that’s right for you.

It’s never easy deciding, especially when there are so many outdoor probe manufacturers to wish from: Weber, Broilmaster, Lynx, Fire Magic and many more. And likewise the brands, you’ve got to feature out which sort kind will game your grilling requests. Here are some examine features to ponder: What volume cooking surface do you require?

Whatever your requests and what you settle, adding a barbeque to your life, be it natural gas or charcoal, will never be something you bemoan.

Often thrown together at the last minute or just ‘there’ to keep other foods moist. Or, meat juices are thickened with flour and combined with water and/or wine to form a gravy.

Yet, in the French culinary tradition a sauce is an integral component of the meal. A sauce should complement a meal and lift the flavours of the dishes being prepared. Which is why, all kitchens based on the French tradition will have a specific saucier to create sauces.

Of course, sauces all hail back to the one-pot tradition of cooking stews in a single pot over a fire. Only later, with the development of cooking ranges and special pans could the main foods and the sauces be prepared separately. Indeed, it’s with the Roman tradition of multi-couse meals that sauces, as we know them today, (known as condimentum) begin to develop.

The next recipe is for a homemade barbecue sauce, based on an Australian original:

Barbeque Sauce

Ingredients
1 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tbsp mustard powder
1 tsp hot chilli powder(1 tsp of ground mace
1/2 tsp salt(180ml passata (tomato sauce)
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice
4 allspice berries, ground to a powder
2 juniper berries, crushed
10 long pepper fruit, ground to a powder (optional)

Method
Simply mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl and stir to combine. For an extra kick add 10 long pepper fruit ground to a powder.

Use as a marinade and/or basting sauce for barbecued meats.

It should also be remembered that many dishes, like ragus are, themselves, cooked in thick (often tomato-based) sauces as are many fish dishes. There are a range of classic sauces such as Bchamel, Holandaise, Rag, Piquante, Marinara, along with barbecue sauces and hot-pepper sauces that form the foundation for much of modern cookery and should be in every cook’s repertoire.

The classic sauce, of course, is a basic white sauce, a recipe for which is given below:

Classic White Sauce

Ingredients
425ml milk
2 sticks of celery
1 bay leaf
1 blade of mace
10 while black peppercorns
1 0.5mm slice of onion
40g butter
20g plain flour
salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste

Method

Place the milk in a small pan along with the celery, bay leaf, mace, peppercorns and onion. Cook on low heat until it comes just to a simmer (about 5 minutes) then remove from the heat and strain into a jug or bowl (discard the flavourings).

Add the butter to the pan and melt gently then add the flour and stir-in vigourously to make a smooth paste. Add the milk a little at a time, whisking all the while (incorporate each slug of liquid completely before you add the next) and continue until all the liquid is incorporated.

Turn the heat to its lowest setting and allow to sauce to cook slowly for 5 minutes, whisking occasionally. Season with salt and black pepper and use immediately.

Gas grills typically have a knob or button in which you push, which in turn activates a small hammer. The hammer hit’s the top of an ignition crystal. Then the burner mixes the gas with oxygen and spreads it all over the cooking surface.

Barbequing is typically thought of as a summer event, but some diehard fans of barbeque will not think twice about breaking out their barbeque grills right in the middle of winter.

Grillers in the southern states may not face the problem, but if you live past the lower states, then chances are your Winter includes a large amount of snow. Smokers and charcoal grills present a problem as you must set the grill up properly, and then wait for the grill to get ready. This can take hours, so the idea of standing outside waiting on the grill may not sound appealing in 3 foot of snow. Gas grills give you the opportunity of quickly cooking barbeque.

Another issue found with out types of grills is the cleanup involved. Once you are done grilling with a smoker or charcoal grill, you are then required to clean out the burned remains. In 3 feet of snow, chances are that you do not have a place readily available for disposal. Fire hazards come with the burnt coals and wood chips. Gas grills will simply need a wipe down before it can be stored away for the next time.

Gas grills, unlike some of the other grills types, have the ability to come with many different types of cooking surfaces. These different cooking surfaces include a BBQ surface, a flat grill, and a ribbed grill. Some grills even offer these types of surfaces as none stick, which allow you to cook a whole array of foods that you would not be able to cook on a grill otherwise. You will be able to cook your whole meal, including side dishes if you plan correctly. Some gas grills even contain a Wok type surface for cooking pasta and rise dishes, or a full rotisserie set that allows you to cook rotisserie chicken.

Watch the latest videos on YouTube.com

A feature that comes with different cooking surfaces is the ability to cook different foods, at different temperatures, at the same time. This feature is available if your gas grill have separate burners. This allows you to cook your meals much more quickly. Some gas grills even come with a warming feature, which will keep your food warm while the rest of it finishes cooking.

Gas grills usually contain a built in thermometer, which will aide you in cooking. You will know the exact temperature you are cooking at. Charcoal and Smoker grills do not typically contain this feature, which either leaves you guessing what temperatures you are cooking at, or requires you to buy extra equipment in order to find out what temperature your food is.

Gas grills have safely concerns all of its own, but they are unmatched by other types of grills. Propane gas is extremely flammable if not used correctly. Other grills however, present higher opportunities for fire as they cook with an open flame. Gas grills are typical built much sturdier then their more simpler counterparts.

If you are considering traveling with your barbeque grill, a gas grill may be the best option. Gas grills come in small sizes which are perfect for traveling. Small size gas containers are available at your local grocery store or department store, which allows you to easily transport the fuel source as well.
