Weber 7519 Gas Grill Rotisserie Reviews

I have only used the rotisserie unit twice – spinning chickens both times and the results were fabulous. (To those who have never done a rotisserie chicken at home and don’t know why it could possibly be worth the bother (when grocery stores, Costco, etc. all have them) my only advice is that you really just need to try one done right. Then, do a leg of lamb, a beef roast, and you’ll understand.) This is a powerful, quiet motor and a nice stainless spit. I loaded my first chicken relatively unevenly, and the motor put up no fuss at turning it. One comment, make sure when installing the motor braket you put the nuts inside the firebox – otherwise the lid of the grill will not shut. Great grill, great accessory.

Bought this rotisserie for my hubby for Father’s Day – but it was a gift for the entire family! Chickens turn out moist and delicious, pork roasts are fantastic. Our teenagers have actually been known to change their plans based on what nights we are cooking with the rotisserie! Is there any better praise than that?

Limited 5-year warranty. As the daylight lingers longer each day, the more carnivorous folk start salivating in anticipation. Barbecue season approaches, liberating meat lovers from the less-flavorful pan-fried steak or bland poached chicken breasts. Likewise, the vegetarians in the family rejoice in the prospect of grilled summer squash or roasted beets and corn, rather than settling for another head of iceberg lettuce and canned beans. For juicy burgers and veggie kabobs at home or at the lake, industry leader Weber offers their portable Q-100 gas grill. The propane grill employs an 8,500-BTU stainless-steel burner to heat its 189-square-inch cooking area. Weber crafted the grill’s lid and body in tough cast aluminum with a sturdy glass-reinforced nylon frame. The grill ignites at the push of a button for reliable lighting, and an infinitely adjustable burner valve with a high-quality regulator makes it easy to control the heat. Meat sizzles on the porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, while drippings follow the drip ducts to reduce potential flare-ups and enable quicker cleaning. Other highlights include a flavorizer system integrated into the cooking grate, a removable catch pan, and a large weather-resistant lid handle. The grill operates on a standard 14.1- or 16.4-ounce propane cylinder. Propane does not come included, but Weber does enclose a Weber Q cookbook of recipes and inspiration. The grill measures 16 by 27

Weber 566002 Q 220 Gas Grill Reviews

This is a great grill, when it works. Unfortunately, getting to get it to work can be a challenge as Weber has a longstanding problem that the safety valve in their regulators is very very finicky, particularly if you try to use it with the separately sold Weber adapter hose and a larger 20lb propane tank. The problem is widespread and well documented in reviews across the web (see the low-star reviews on the “Weber 41455″ on Amazon for instance).
How finicky? If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to get the grill to light up as long as you are willing to spend 5-10 minutes turning it on every single time – a long sequence of very very slowly opening the valve on the propane tank and then letting it all sit for a while for pressures to equalize before you even try to turn on the grill, and then a 5-15 minute “reset sequence” if you do something too fast and it doesn’t work the first time… if you’re unlucky or have one of their defective regulators, even that won’t work.
What if you call customer service to get help? They’re friendly enough and will quickly diagnose the problem (since it is so common) and offer to ship you a free replacement regulator, but the problem is so widespread that they can’t build the replacements fast enough to keep them in stock, so you may well be waiting at least a week or two as they ship them to all the customers in front of you in line before you finally get your replacement and can start grilling…
Past those two issues, once you get this grill to work it is a great grill, nice and hot, great ceramic cast-iron cooking surface, built-in thermometer very helpful, nice looking and a streamlined footprint if you have a smaller patio, and all the other good things that people say. Buyers just need to beware this very well might not work out of the box so you might be waiting a few weeks to do a repair, particularly if you plan to use it with the Weber adapter hose and a larger standard 20lb propane tank.

First off, let me say I love this grill. It is fantastic.
Cons:
-Grill is a little on the heavy side. Cast iron grate, quality components and a sturdy base all combine to make this a little heavier than other portable grills. This is compared to my last portable grill, a shoddy lightweight grill made by Coleman.
Pros:
-Cast iron cooking surface. This is my first time with cast iron as opposed to the skinny stainless steel wires that most grills have. I’ll never go back.
-Solid construction. Every piece looks and feels like it was made with quality materials.
-Two side tables. What can I say, they’re extra useful
-Thermometer
-Taller grill lid than the q200 series. Lets you cook a larger roast or something else tall. Probably wont fit a Beer can chicken though (although I’m definitely going to try)
-Utensil hooks for grilling tools
-Precision flame control
-Fits a variety of propane tanks (you may need the adapter, sold separately)
-Has an excellent line up of accessories. I’ve also go the rolling cart on the way, it looks great.
Don’t forget to buy the duffel or vinyl cover if you’re going to be storing this outside. You wouldn’t want dust and pet hair to cover your hardcore grilling machine.
100% satisfied, A+ product.

Weber 1520 Propane Gas Go-Anywhere Grill Reviews

I bought one of these things ten years ago and despite twice replacing it with big, traditional-looking (and very expensive) grills I keep coming back to this one. In fact, when we bought our latest one at a local fireplace/grill store, the owner just couldn’t stop talking about this cheap little grill. He confided to me in a low voice that if I were to lift the lid of his own 00 home gas barbecue, I’d find this little gem sitting inside because it’s all he uses too. Why? It’s not ease of cleaning or durability or any of that stuff (they rust out after a few years sitting on the porch). And you’d better buy a big propane bottle with an adapter hose if you don’t want to those little gas cylinders to suddenly empty out on you mid-meal while you’re cooking for guests… No, the reason I adore this is that it just plain grills better than anything else on the market – and we’ve tried a lot of them.My wife, the culinary school grad, thinks it’s the “flavorizer” that does it (the metal pan that replaces those awful lava rocks). When we grill salmon we just cover that metal pan with alderwood chips and let the smoke penetrate the fish while it grills with the lid on tight – flat out beating every restaurant or neighborbood grilled fish ever made. Friends of mine simply won’t cook salmon for us.Even though we virtually never clean the thing, it simply does the best job flavor-wise of all our grills. If you crank it up to high for 10 minutes, then grill with the top closed (never open) you get very consistent heat which is the secret to good grilling. Some cookbook author who writes barbecue books constantly repeats the phrase “Know Your Fire” like a mantra. This fire is 100% consistent, heats up in minutes (again, no lava rocks to soak up heat) and produces superb results for us. If you know your fire, this is the fire to know.

I’ve owned a Weber Go-Anywhere for a couple of years now and it’s been a regular part of my outdoor cooking. Gets up to temperature quickly and is great for grilling simple stuff like salmon, chicken and sausages. The food doesn’t taste *quite* as good as my mesquite-fired kettle BBQ but the Go-Anywhere also doesn’t take 30 minutes to fire up.The piezzo lighter flaked out on my Weber a couple of months after I bought it but it’s pretty easy to light with a match. As another review mentioned, they do rust pretty quickly but they’re really sturdy and basic. It grills as well as it did when I first bought it.Strongly recommended for folks looking for a small, no-nonsense (or frills) gas BBQ.
